Privacy Policy
This page explains what personal information ImranWebdev collects when you visit this website or send an enquiry, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the control you have over it. It is written in plain English on purpose.
1. Who we are
ImranWebdev is the trading name of Imran Hossain, an independent WordPress designer, developer and SEO consultant based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This policy covers the website at imranwebdev.com and the enquiries we receive through it.
For UK and EU data protection law, ImranWebdev is the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at any time at contact@imranwebdev.com.
2. What we collect, and why
We only collect what we need in order to reply to you and do the work. There is no hidden profiling behind this website.

We do not track you. This website runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no social-media trackers and no session-recording tools. We do not build profiles, we do not retarget you with ads, and we have never sold personal information to anyone.
3. Our lawful basis for using it
- Your enquiry — we use it to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- Project and billing records — performance of our contract with you, and compliance with our legal and tax obligations.
- Server and security logs — our legitimate interest in keeping the site online, secure and free from abuse.
Where we ever rely on your consent for something, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
4. Cookies
This site sets only the cookies it needs to work. Those come from WordPress itself, from our caching plugin (LiteSpeed Cache), which uses them to serve the right version of a page, and from our security plugin (Wordfence), which uses them to recognise trusted browsers.
There are no advertising or analytics cookies on this site, which is why you are not asked to dismiss a cookie banner. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some pages may load more slowly.
5. Google Fonts
Our pages use two typefaces served by Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests those font files directly from Google, and in doing so Google receives your IP address and browser details. We do not send Google anything else about you, and we have no access to what Google does with that request. Google explains its handling of that data in the Google Privacy Policy.
6. Who else sees your information
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, and only so that this website and our email can function:
- Hostinger — our web host. Stores the website, its database and its server logs.
- Our email provider — delivers and stores the messages you send us.
- Google — receives a font request from your browser, as described above.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We would disclose it only if the law required us to, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
7. Where your information is handled
We work from Bangladesh, and our hosting and email providers may process data on servers in other countries. If you contact us from the UK, the EEA or anywhere else with data transfer rules, please treat your enquiry as being transferred to Bangladesh so that we can reply to it. We keep the amount of information involved to the minimum described in section 2.
8. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects — kept while we are in touch and for up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Project and billing records — kept for as long as we are working together and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Server and security logs — rotated automatically by our host, typically within a few weeks.
9. Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete what we hold, where we are not required to keep it;
- stop using it for a particular purpose, or restrict how we use it;
- send it to you, or to someone else, in a portable format.
Email contact@imranwebdev.com and we will deal with it within 30 days. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
If you are in the UK or the EEA and you think we have handled your information badly, you are entitled to complain to your national data protection authority — in the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
10. Keeping it safe
The site is served over HTTPS, kept up to date, and protected by a firewall and malware scanner. Access to enquiries is limited to Imran. No website can promise perfect security, but we keep the amount of personal information we hold small deliberately, which is the most effective protection there is.
11. Children
This website is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant and we hold your details, we will tell you directly.

Ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to delete it. A real person reads every message and replies within 24 hours.
